the vtuber and the spirit guide team

ACIM

https://www.jcim.net/how-jesus-got-his-copyright-back/

basics

it seems like one really needs to grasp the basics before taking advanced lessons

A shame that the usual education does not teach the full meaning of such words/concepts -

- love

- meaning

- knowledge

- truth

- god

- free will

- chance / probability

( and "science" - though only relevant to this society)

It took me almost two decades to get here though, and finally I find books that actually require a working understanding of the concepts above.

death=rebirth

death=rebirth

It seems obvious in retrospect they are basically equivalent. But perhaps I have been actively thinking about the former more than the latter in my theorizing.

Rubber duc

The rubber duck method is in fact a very clever method to invoke one’s intuition, or “higher mind” if you will. It is a much milder yet safer and effective way to find truth from “within” than sniffing funny substances and ingesting poisonous fungi… but the way it works is similar. Difference being that upon loss of “ego” it may seem that the information barriers are broken down as well and one might be able to access more info that is supposed to be “none of your business”.

But even without glitching out to another identity, the interesting about intuition is that it does not necessarily tell you what you already know, but it might also tell you what you would have/should have known. I am reminded of equity’s maxim: Equity looks on as done that which ought to have been done.

And yes sometimes you don’t consciously know what you should have known. That’s where the rubber duck helps, and this aligns with the conventional explanation as well. Of course the conventional explanation doesn’t explain why it is so effective…

Telecomms

Was cooking dinner when I suddenly wondered whether wife will be able to come back and eat.

Rationally I thought she would be coming back home for dinner, but somehow felt the uncertainty and was compelled to leave the stove area and look for my phone to see whether I received any messages.

Lo and behold... she said she was very sick, had diarrhea  and only wanted a small batch of congee...

----

A couple months ago I thought about a friend (who usually I have no regular contact with), and at that day he suddenly messaged me about something.

unconditional

when non physical entities talk about unconditional love towards all

it seems it is the only sustainable attitude towards earthly beings

first, unconditional hatred is recipe for self disaster (and honestly quite unimaginable)

and anything short of unconditional love might cause the non-physical entity to 輪迴 once they are sufficiently invested in the function of this world

Learning

AIs are trained on trillions of tokens.

Humans don't get that much training.

The gap will close upon AI research progress, but I keep wondering whether some of the gap ultimately cannot be closed.

The idea of sustained "deliberate practice" is a special method for improving skills is interesting --- because the formula is exactly the kind that allows for Magic to happen -- alignment of passion, intention, action onto one's own field of reality. I don't have direct evidence but it would be hard to imagine that there is no Magic effect when people deliberately practice to improve their skills.

So the literal billion dollar question is, what is the equivalent of this for large AI models? Or does this not exist, and we have hence disproved the Church-Turing thesis (which does not carry a billion dollars unfortunately)?

One possible (but far-fetched) solution for the billion dollar question is that humans (the trainers) provide the intention. In order for the effect to happen in the physical universe, it seems that at the very least the intention must be accompanied with some "action", not merely some kind of elaborate ritual that does not have a known physical causal effect on the model training, but it must provide a cause. The simplest way would be for a well-intentioned person, preferably one of the leaders of the project, to intentionally generate sufficient "random" bits to feed into the neural network, either as initialization or random seed. The size of the random bits must be large enough that it is not conceivable that it could have been chosen by luck, and not conceivable that a similar positive training result would be repeatable by exhausting the space of the randomness.

Sounds crazy, and most likely the idea of trying to influence silicon that is outside of your body is too weird for the field of belief to take hold.  But at least the theory is there.  The rituals can be designed in a way to improve the odds.

Not high though.

Another possible route would be to train the AIs with "love". I don't know how to do that but that's what the theory would suggest.

TBH I'm slightly afraid that we might instead just "conclude" we have disproved the Church-Turing thesis... which is sad.

Curse of the rich

In our journey to understand love and how we are all connected to one, Giving is only half of the equation.

Receiving is the part that is much less talked about. receiving from love and compassion is required to understand the full picture.

In the structure of capitalist society today, excess money is obtained through “process” at best, and greed, deceit and coercion at worst. The rich do not understand how deeply interdependent we are on each other through the interface of not money but compassion.

Of course , the access to money guarantees a minimum level of treatment, but money itself has a coercive vibe to it, one can never be sure whether the niceties they received are purely due to others “needing” their money or not.

It is therefore said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

How Divine Madness can Reveal Mystical Truths - Plato | Ficino | Bruno

ESOTERICA

Plato is perhaps the greatest philosopher of all time.  He is renowned for his wide-ranging philosophical dialogues which laid the groundwork for all subsequent western philosophers.  Despite his keen use of logic and argumentation, Plato also praises a form of ecstatic knowledge brought on by four forms of divine madness of mania.  Indeed, he views this form of knowledge as superior to even philosophy itself in allowing the soul to grasp the eternal truth itself.  What is this madness which leads to true genius?  In this episode of Esoterica we explore Plato's conception of the 'mania' and the inheritance of this concept in Renaissance Hermetic philosophers such as Marsilio Ficino, Cornelius Agrippa in his famous Three Books of Occult Philosophy and Giordano Bruno.

The Immortality Key: The Secret History of the Religion with No Name

事實上睇返 (Claude 100-k 總結 (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy 轉述 (Plato on Knowledge in the))) Theaetetus ,柏拉圖用蘇格拉底把口否定咗幾個關於「知識」嘅理解之後,卻冇清楚講返佢自己對「知識」嘅定義。

What would god do?

Apparently there is much power in imagining what being another would be like.

Incidentally, my most common thought on this is: what would god do?

In a sense my greatest hobby has always been "roleplaying god". After decades of doing so, I might have gotten pretty good at it now.

WoW vs Alan Watts

Now that I think of it, it seems playing a couple months of World of Warcraft is probably more instructive than listening to hours of Alan Watts talks.

Alan Watts talks about the Hindu concept of god playing all the parts in a drama, but that's only because they haven't invented MMORPGs yet.

So now, it's very easy to understand why a god would want to make millions of copies of itself that's weak and vulnerable once you play some MMORPG, reached max level, done everything to do in the game, and realize it's more fun to create an alt.. then another, and another... and if there aren't enough players in the world just multibox it 🙂

23 Nov
